Snow Sports School Registration

1．Purpose

To ensure and continuously improve the safety and enjoyment of customers by guaranteeing the quality of experiences they receive at Kiroro Snow World (hereinafter referred to as “the ski resort”)

2．Subject

Any individuals, organizations, and companies that to provide lessons, regardless of whether for profit or non-profit purposes, at Kiroro Resort.

3．Snow sports school registration

To register, you must meet the 4. registration requirements, and if you do not meet these conditions, your registration may be canceled.

4．Registration Condition

Any business seeking registration must satisfy all of the requirements set forth below.
The business shall remain obligated to continuously satisfy these requirements after registration. If it is determined that any of the requirements have not been satisfied, or that the business ceases to satisfy any of the requirements, measures such as cancellation or suspension of registration may be taken.

• Qualification Requirements for the Representative
  The representative of the business must hold one of the following qualifications:
  ・A Stage III or higher qualification in skiing, snowboarding, or telemark skiing issued by SIA (Professional Ski Instructors Association of Japan) or ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association).
  ・A qualification issued by an internationally recognized governing body for skiing and snowboarding that is deemed equivalent to or higher than the qualification specified above.
  ・SAJ (Ski and Snowboard Association of Japan) Assistant Instructor qualification or higher.
  ・JSBA (Japan Snowboarding Association) Grade B Instructor qualification or higher.
• Qualification Requirements for Instructors
  Instructors who are affiliated with the business and engaged in instructional activities must hold one of the following qualifications:
  ・A valid instructor qualification issued by SIA, ISIA, or an internationally recognized governing body for skiing and snowboarding.
  ・SAJ Certified Instructor qualification or higher.
  ・JSBA Grade C Instructor qualification or higher.
• Insurance Requirements
  The business must maintain the following insurance coverage:
  ・Third-party liability insurance with coverage of at least JPY 100 million per accident.
  Such insurance must remain valid throughout the entire period of the business’s operations.
• Work Eligibility Requirements
  The representative and all instructors must hold valid status or authorization permitting them to legally work in Japan.
  ・For individuals who are not Japanese nationals, the business must be able to verify, through a Residence Card or other official documentation, that the individual holds the appropriate status of residence and work authorization permitting them to engage in the relevant activities.
  ・The business must establish a system for properly verifying and retaining such documentation and for presenting it when necessary.
• Responsibility for Management and Supervision
  The business shall be responsible for verifying, managing, and supervising the validity of qualifications, insurance coverage, and legal work eligibility of the registered representative and instructors.
  The following requirements must also be observed:
  ・Registration may only be made for individuals who are under the business’s management and supervision.
  ・Lending of business names, unauthorized use of qualifications, or registration without appropriate management and supervision is prohibited.
  ・The business shall bear full responsibility for any false or incomplete information contained in the registration.
  ・If the business is deemed to have failed to fulfill its management and supervision responsibilities, measures such as cancellation of registration or suspension of registration for a specified period may be taken.
• Compliance and Safety Management System
  The business must establish the following systems to ensure safe and proper operation of its ski school:
  ・Establishment of accident prevention and emergency response procedures.
  ・Regular safety education and skills training for instructors.
  ・Establishment of a system for handling complaints and reporting accidents.
  ・Appropriate management and protection of personal information.
  
  These Requirements shall be established in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of Japan and relevant industry standards and may be revised as necessary.

5．Ineligible

Membership is not required in the following situations:

• When schoolteachers are teaching students as part of classes at elementary, junior high, or high schools.
• When teaching as part of activities organized by local youth sports teams or ski federations
• When prior permission has been granted by Kiroro Snow World at its own discretion

6．Code of Conduct

Including the following items, registrants must comply with the terms of use of the ski resort under all circumstances:

• Registrants must cooperate with the management of the ski resort and follow its instructions.
• Registrants must not engage in prohibited behaviors that violate the ski resort’s terms of use, such as ducking under or climbing over ropes.
• Registrants must continually strive to improve the quality of instruction and guiding.
• When conducting lessons, the use of the course must be limited to methods approved by the ski resort.

7．Warning・Cancellation of registration

To protect product quality and registrants, if a lesson is conducted in violation of the 4. registration conditions and 6. code of conduct, the registrant will receive a warning. If the warning is not followed, the registration will be canceled. In such cases, no refunds will be issued for any reason.

8．Unregistered

It is prohibited to conduct lessons without permission in the ski resort area. If any individual or company is found conducting lessons without authorization, a warning will be issued. All business registrations and lift tickets used by the warned individual or company will be rendered invalid, and they will be denied access to the ski resort for the remainder of the season. Furthermore, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

9．Lesson

Registrants must comply with the following items when conducting lessons under any circumstances:

• All instructors conducting lessons must hold a qualification in snow sports issued by SIA, ISIA, or an internationally recognized governing body for skiing and snowboarding.
(SAJ (Ski and Snowboard Association of Japan): Certified Instructor qualification or higher; JSBA (Japan Snowboarding Association): Grade C Instructor qualification or higher.)
• Instructors conducting lessons must carry the designated Kiroca at all times and wear an armband or bib in a clearly visible location.(One designated Kiroca and one armband or bib per person.)
• Lessons must prioritize general guests who are skiers or snowboarders, and instructors should cooperate and give way to other lesson groups.
• Proper etiquette must be strictly observed on the slopes and courses.

10．Price

＜Note＞

• All prices are tax included.
• Business registrants MUST purchase a dedicated lift pass.
• Lessons cannot be conducted using special rate lift tickets such as complimentary tickets or Akaigawa village resident preferential season tickets.
• Business registrants will receive a special Kiroca with their name and armband number. Transfer or loan of the armband to a non-registered person is not permitted. If the armband is lost or damaged, the registrant will be charged a fee for reissuing the Kiroca and a fee for the loss of the armband.
• Please pay the registration fee at the Academy counter on the day of use.
• For short-term business registration, a 1-day lesson is counted as one session, and you will need to register for the required number of sessions. Regarding the transition to a season registration, it will not be a difference payment but rather the full season registration fee.
• Once the registration fee has been paid, no refunds will be issued for any reason.
• For unregistered businesses, a fee of ¥50,000 will be charged, and we will take appropriate actions according to our company policy, including reporting to the police.
